Tour de Nidderdale - Cycle Route
These two routes will each make for a vigorous ride in themselves, touring the valley of Nidderdale as well as Mashamshire and showing off some of the best views the valley has to offer as they go.
They can be joined together to create a serious ride of almost 60 miles that will test the legs and stamina of any rider.
The Green Jersey route takes in the lower part of Nidderdale, offering a gentle rolling profile with plenty of opportunity for mashing the pedals and keeping up a strong pace (should you so desire).
The Red, or Polka dot, Route is the more serious, climbing the valley side above Pateley Bridge is just the first of several climbing challenges, this route has a number of climbs and can be quite exposed as it crosses the moors. However, the view will more than make up for the effort needed and you can always stop in Masham to recharge.
Together the routes make the quite serious Yellow Jersey route covering all of Nidderdale, top to bottom.
