Swinton Estate is a fabulous place to stay and visit. The opulent 42-bedroom Swinton Park Hotel with 200 acres of gardens, parkland and deer park, the luxuriously relaxing Swinton Country Club and Spa, glamping in tree lodges and meadow yurts at Swinton Bivouac, learning to cook at Swinton Cookery School, as well as experiencing a myriad of country activities including falconry, fishing, clay pigeon shooting and pony trekking.

An ‘Estate to Plate’ approach is adopted on the Swinton Estate, with seasonal menus available in both the Samuel’s Restaurant and The Terrace Restaurant, with fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the neighbouring walled garden, and other produce from the wider 20,000 acre Estate.

Foodie experiences include fine dining, traditional afternoon tea, uncomplicated dishes with a scenic view at Swinton Bivouac Café, classic Sunday lunch, garden lunches, small plate dining, a gourmet Chef’s Table, private dining and pop-up dining options at Swinton Estate’s Deer House.

A 20,000 acre Yorkshire Estate situated close to the market town of Masham in Wensleydale, Swinton Estate is one of the largest privately owned Estates in England, having been in the ownership of the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s.

It extends from the River Ure across rural hill farming countryside up onto the moorland Yorkshire Dales with the vast majority of the Estate sitting within the Nidderdale National Landscape and bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
