Where to charge your car when you visit Harrogate

Electric vehicle charging points become more common across the Harrogate district every year. Let your vehicle charge while you enjoy shopping, a delicious meal out or just enjoy an afternoon in one of our gardens.

These charging points are available for the public to charge vehicles based purely on the charging point not being in use.

Council car park charging points

New charging points are being installed and made live across the Harrogate area during the first half of 2023.  All of these charging points offer a minimum of 7kW charge with some locations providing a 22kW charge.  All the council car park charging stations use Type 2 connections and take payment online, or by mobile app.

How long to charge your car?

Most electric vehicles will charge fully in 4 - 6 hrs on a 7kW connection, on a 22kW connection this will be 2 hrs.
