ZIGGY STARDUST & THE SPIDERS FROM MARS
ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS | 1979 | Dir. DA Pennebaker | PG | 90 mins
Presented by HARROGATE FILM SOCIETY
Your chance to be there for Bowie’s last-ever performance as Ziggy, at the Hammersmith Odeon, 3 July 1973, when he told his astonished audience, “…it’s the last show there will ever be!”
A great medley of 'Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud'/'All The Young Dudes'/'Oh! You Pretty Things', a Lou Reed cover, and a Rolling Stones cover are but some of the highlights.
Local author and broadcaster, Derek Shelmerdine will introduce the film and put it into the context of its time.
Tickets for non-members cost £6 each (Under 25's £3) and HFS members pay £5. Buy online or on the night from the HFS desk - contactless payments only. (A small processing fee will be applied to all tickets.)
HFS is proud to be screening its Music Legends season in the newly refurbished function room at Bilton Club, Skipton Road.
• A new large screen and a new state of the art sound system and projector have been installed.
• Function room bar, opened before and after the film
• Free parking
• Wheelchair access
