The Springtime of the Year
Alex Kyle, Musical Director of Vocalis has named the concert after one of three folksongs by Vaughan Williams and the concert is inspired by the birds and flowers of spring. It also includes music by Bennet, Gibbons, Britten, Hensel, Pearsall, Stanford and Holst whose 100th and 150th anniversaries fall this year, respectively. Music by Weelkes, Lotti, Stainer and Palestrina reflect the Eastertide timing of the concert.
Join Vocalis for their Springtime of the Year concert which takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday 16 March in All Saints’ Church, Kirkby Overblow, Harrogate HG3 1HH. Interval refreshments available. Tickets £12, full time students £6 and under 19’s and carers accompanying people requiring assistance free. Tickets available online from www.harrogatevocalis.org.uk
