The Market House in the pretty dales town of  Hawes opens its doors for an eclectic mix of festive stalls, with a wide range of high-quality handmade crafts and art products made by local and regional exhibitors. Visit the Christmas Craft Fair in Hawes for an opportunity to meet the makers, discuss their work and buy great quality Christmas gifts from small local businesses. Entry is free.

Start your celebrations in the vibrant market town of Leyburn. Christmas comes alive on the 24 November with the opening of the two-day Living Magazine Winter Wonderland Christmas Fair at Tennants. Festivities continue over the weekend in the Market Square with the Leyburn Christmas Festival. Enjoy The Little Bird Artisan Market which offers an exciting range of stalls celebrating independent producers and makers. Be entertained by brass bands and seasonal entertainers and take the opportunity to meet Holly and Ivy the reindeer – you may even have time for a catch-up with Santa!

Celebrations continue into December with a fabulous programme of events at The Station in Richmond. The Beautiful, disused, Victorian Railway Station has been lovingly transformed into a wonderful Community venue which includes a cinema, café, Art gallery and a selection of shops. Over Christmas, The Station comes alive with a lineup of festive treats for you to enjoy, including a variety of Christmas Fairs (2, 9 & 16 December), a selection of festive workshops (3, 9, 23 December), and some wonderful classic Christmas Films for you to sit back, relax and enjoy

The Curtain is lifted on Rapunzel, The Georgian Theatre Royal pantomime, on 6 December and runs until 7 January 2024. Loved by locals and visitors of all ages the Georgian Theatre Panto has developed a reputation for being one of the best pantomimes around. Rapunzel will have all the hallmarks expected of a Richmond pantomime - bags of laughter, lots of audience participation, and of course, those two essential ingredients - knitting and Tunnock's teacakes!

Leyburn Band Christmas Concert & Fireworks Display

Visit the Garden Rooms at Tennants, Leyburn for this wonderfully festive event, the Leyburn Band Christmas Concert . Leyburn Band will perform a diverse repertoire of music, including traditional Christmas tunes (and some new ones too!). There will be a fireworks display leading into the concert. Booking advised.
