Harrogate - A World of Events
No matter what time of year you visit there will always be a long and varied answer to the question, “What’s on around Harrogate?”
Long established or newly founded
Some of the events that take place through the year have a long history dating back hundreds of years, while other newly created events celebrate hobbies or passion with a likeminded audience.
Harrogate International Festivals recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary and organise an eclectic calendar of events throughout the year including the Harrogate Music Festival, and the now famous Crime Writers Festival.
Heart of local tradition
Local events that are part of the local heritage can give the best window into what makes a community tick, from local agricultural shows to whacky events that bring the whole town out like the Great Knaresborough Bed Race.
Your passions and interests
The events that take place across Harrogate and the surrounding area cater to every interest imaginable, whether your passion is gardening, food and drink, comedy, culture, live music or history – you can be sure there will be something for you taking place around Harrogate that will be right up your street.
Are you organising an event that is of interest to visitors? Tell us about it here.
