Tales from the Scriptorium
Brother Aidan returns to the Festival, bringing heritage crafts, history and storytelling to his new home at Fountains Abbey. Witness the process of creating an Anglo Saxon book whilst he weaves talks of his life as a monk. On hand - a huge range of replica artefacts. Demonstration includes parchment and ink making, leatherwork, bookbinding and calligraphy. An interactive event for adults.
