Lunchtime Song Recital
In this concert, the first Leeds Lieder Recital, their artistic director, the pianist Joseph Middleton, is joined the exciting young mezzo-soprano Helen Charlston. A BBC New Generation Artist, her much praised CD Battle Cry won the 2023 BBC Music Magazine Vocal Award.
They will be performing works by Fanny Hensel, John Ireland, Mahler, Britten and Frank Bridge. The recital is one of the events commemorating the centenary of the Harrogate war memorial.
