Join us for a Heritage Open Days tour around Stonefall Cemetery in Harrogate and learn about the people from across the world who travelled to Britain's aid in the Second World War never to return home.

With over 1000 Commonwealth War Graves, Stonefall Cemetery is one of the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission sites in the North of England. Nearly all of the casualties are airmen from the Second World War.

Join us for a special tour for Heritage Open Days, and discover the fascinating stories of some remarkable men who made a difference during times of conflict. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you through this cemetery, sharing tales of courage and resilience telling the stories of casualties from East Africa, Fiji, the Caribbean, Canada, Australia and New Zealand who are buried at Stonefall as well as the stories of some of the French crew who were once laid to rest there.
Tours will take place at 1100 and 1330 on Wednesday 11th and Saturday 14th September.
