Our popular Dark Skies Festival Activity and Pizza Nights are truly one of a kind. This area is one of the best places in the world to view the skies at night, The Yorkshire Dales National Park has now officially been granted the status of an ‘International Dark Sky Reserve’.

The plan is to always ‘canoe under the stars’ but sometimes weather conditions make it unsafe. In this case, your Dark Skies activity experience will be to take on the floodlit Via Ferrata high wire adventure. Our via ferrata course is one of only 3 in the UK.

Scar House Reservoir is a great location to ‘canoe under the stars’ and is designated as a Dark Sky Discovery Site in its own right – however, we can’t guarantee a clear sky.
