Commonwealth War Graves Commission Tours
To mark Heritage Open Days, join us for a tour around the cemetery to learn about the work of the CWGC and the stories of some of those buried at Stonefall. As part of the Heritage Open Days' theme 'Creativity Unwrapped', we will be talking about some of the architectural features at the site including the shelter. This was designed by the CWGC's Principal Architect and Yorkshire man Sir Edward Maufe.
Please book a free place using this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cwgc-tours-stonefall-cemetery-harrogate-tickets-164094676595
Please note: The starting point for the tour is in front of the Crematorium. Please come dressed for the weather. The tour involves walking on grass as well as paths and will last for approximately 90 minutes.
You can park within the cemetery (be mindful that the gates for vehicles are locked at 1600 at weekends). There is a public toilet near the main entrance from Wetherby Road
