With over 1000 Commonwealth War Graves, Stonefall Cemetery is one of the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission sites in the North of England. Nearly all of the casualties are airmen from the Second World War, with over two-thirds belonging to the Canadian forces.

Join us for Heritage Open Days, at Stonefall Cemetery, Harrogate on Wednesday 13th September for our Open Day (11 am -3 pm). You can pre-book a guided tour or just turn up and discover the remarkable stories of our casualties commemorated at the site. You will also be able learn about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, talk to our gardeners and watch our stonemasons will be on hand to demonstrate their craft.

Please note that this Open Day will take place in the CWGC plot at Stonefall Cemetery which is adjacent to Forest Lane. Cars can park in the car park near the back entrance to Stonefall Cemetery or inside the cemetery.
