Led by our expert guides, our canoeing experiences offer a perfect sense of adventure, allowing you to explore the stunning landscapes of Yorkshire’s picturesque countryside from the water. Master the art of the open canoe as you learn the skills required to pilot your craft along the calm Ripon Canal, whilst watching the local wildlife and enjoying the scenery.

No previous experience is necessary and we provide all safety equipment and can teach canoeing for beginners – making this an ideal activity for people of any age or skill level.

Your half-day adventure promises to be a comprehensive and enjoyable canal canoeing experience. Spanning a total of three thrilling hours, our adventure includes a thorough introduction and expert guidance from our experienced and friendly instructors.

What do I need to bring?
Bring a set of spare clothes just in case you get a little bit wet. Please dress for the conditions of the day and layers. Wind and waterproofs may also be appropriate depending on the day’s conditions and sun cream if it’s a hot day. Wellies tend to be the best footwear as you can paddle out a little way to step in and out of your canoe whilst staying dry.

Canoeing Equipment
To ensure your safety and comfort, all necessary safety equipment, including canoes, paddles, and buoyancy aids, is provided. We want you to enjoy your time with us, so our small group approach features a maximum of 10 participants per instructor, ensuring a secure if occasionally wet, outing! So, with everything included in the price, come and enjoy yourself in the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales on a canoeing adventure.
