Badapple Theatre Company present 'Eddie and the Gold Tops'
Join us as we celebrate our Badapple 25th Anniversary with this hilarious comedy, set against the backdrop and dynamic music of the ‘Swinging 60’s’. Written by our Artistic Director Kate Bramley (formerly of Sir John Godber’s Hull Truck Theatre) with original songs and music by Jez Lowe (SONY Radio Academy Award Winner/ BBC Radio 2 Radio Ballads).
This tale follows our Eddie, a much-loved milkman - from a family of great Italian milkmen - who finds himself becoming a chart-topping Beat group star, quite by accident. Having inherited the family milk round from his father, Eddie has fulfilled his deathbed promise to never miss a delivery for the good people of the village of Bottledale. But suddenly things are on the up! His songs are heading up the charts and, if he can get there by tonight, he’ll be on the brand-new Top of The Pops!
So, get ready, Eddie, go! You’re heading for the high life, with the fabulous Gold Tops behind you every step of the way!
But when things take a churn for the worse, will he get back for the morning milk?
Tickets: £14 Adults/£12 Concs./£8 u16's
