Advent and Christmas Services
A festive programme of services and events is held in Ripon Cathedral in the run-up to Christmas.
Sunday 1 December 5:30pm - Advent Procession & Carol Service - A beautiful candlelit service which sees the light of Christ enter our lives.
Sunday 8 December 5pm - Light Up a Life with St Michael Hospice
Thursday 19 December 7:30pm - Christmas Organ Meditation Olivier Messiaens La Nativité Du Seigneur
Friday 23 December 5:30pm - Festival of Lessons and Carols - The Story of Christmas told in readings and music from Ripon Cathedral Choir.
Saturday 24 December
- 11:30 am - Journey To Bethlehem special children's event.
- 17:30pm - Festival of Lessons and Carols
- 11pm - Midnight Mass
Sunday 25 December at 10:30am - Christmas Day Festal Eucharist - Join us as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
Monday 26 December at 9:30am - Boxing Day Pilgrimage with the pilgrimage starting at 10am: Eucharist for St Stephen’s Day followed by Pilgrimage to Fountains Abbey.
Saturday 31 December at 11:15pm - Watchnight Service and Procession from Ripon Cathedral to Ripon Market Square
