Arcadian Strings is a string orchestra of 18 players made up professionally trained musicians and experienced amateurs, playing for fun and giving occasional concerts. Their conductor is William Dutton, formerly BBC Chorister of the Year and winner of the String section of BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2014.
The programme includes Mozart's much loved "Eine Klein Nachtmusik", Elgar's "Serenade for Strings" and a movement from the Tchaikovsky "Serenade for Strings". The Christmas flavour is provided by Corelli's "Christmas Concerto" and "The Skaters' Waltz" by Waldteufel. Coffee and Mince Pies will be served from 10 a.m. in the Church Hall, attached to the church. There is no charge for either refreshments or the concert, but any donations will be welcome at the end of the concert.
