The site is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in Nidderdale, being 12 miles from Harrogate and 5 miles from Pateley Bridge. It is a working farm, predominantly sheep. There is an abundance of wildlife both on the site and on the banks of the River Nidd, which is close by.
The terraced site is set in beautiful surroundings and is well situated for walkers. A number of walks can be accessed from the site including the Nidderdale Way.
