Heritage Open Days
The nationwide festival of history and Culture brings a unique chance to explore the secrets of our past.
Over the course of the festival, you can enjoy a rare opportunity to see inside some of the great historical buildings and heritage sites across our part of North Yorkshire. Specially arranged talks and tours give a glimpse into the history of our towns and landscapes.
Additionally, a number of our historical attractions will be offering free entry on selected days during the 10 days of the festival.
Heritage Open Days is a community-led event with local organisations and volunteers working to celebrate the history of the places they care about and tell the stories of how they came to be and the events they saw, bringing history to life for everyone.
All the events in Heritage Open Days are free to enter - See some of the events taking place across the area.
