Flow Back to Nature Yorkshire Yoga Retreat at How Stean Gorge
Come and experience a Flow Back to Nature Yorkshire Yoga Retreat where you’ll experience the forces of nature, relax, recharge and detox. Stay in our rustic wooden lodges with wood fired hot tubs and cosy log fires set in Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Yorkshire Dales.
The perfect location to escape the everyday stresses of life.
Matt Tottman (Yogeek Yoga) will be on hand to lead four yoga sessions. Matt is a yoga guide, personal trainer, meditation facilitator and mind set coach. You’ll be in good capable hands throughout all of the sessions.
Itinerary:
Day 1 – Friday
Arrive from 4pm onwards where we’ll show you to your rustic lodge
5pm Locally sourced ingredients, home-made lasagne, salad and garlic bread (vegetarian lasagne option available)
7pm Evening Yin Yoga practice (Yoga 1) and social
Day 2 – Saturday
8am Morning meditation and YinYasa Yoga practice (Yoga 2)
9am Tasty home-made vegetarian or meat, full English breakfast
10am Explore How Stean Gorge by Abseil and Gorge Walking – follow the amazing natural wonder of How Stean Gorge. Experience the thrill of nature and feel the benefit as you immerse yourself in cold water.
10am – 12noon 10am – 12noon Optional extra – One to One Private Yoga Session £20 for 1 hr
12.30pm Lunch – Homemade soup served with multi-seeded bread and homemade fruit flapjack
2pm An introduction to the caves of Nidderdale. The caves are suitable for people with little or no experience and your qualified instructor will guide you on an educational tour of some of Yorkshire’s finest caves or if going underground isn’t for you, unwind by relaxing in the hot tubs or take a hike around the beautifully stunning Nidderdale, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the Yorkshire Dales.
2pm – 5pm Optional extra – One to One Private Yoga Session £20 for 1 hr
5pm Delicious Evening Meal – Home made Pizza, salad and fries (cheese and tomato/ham and mushroom/goats cheese, red onion, cherry tomato/vegan cheese and roasted vegetable)
7pm YinYasa Yoga practice and social (Yoga 3)
Day 3 – Sunday
8am Sunday Morning Meditation – Energising Flow practice (Yoga 4)
9am Tasty English Breakfast (Poached eggs or smokey beans on toast)
10am Canoeing at Scar Reservoir or Walk. The canoe trip will give you the chance to paddle along one of Yorkshire’s iconic reservoirs and soak up the Upper Nidderdale scenery first hand.
10am – 12noon Optional extra – One to One Private Yoga Session £20 for 1 hr
12 noon Lunch (Roasted vegetable quiche or mushroom, chestnut and cranberry tart with salad and sweet potato fries) and farewells
All activities are optional, alternatively take a wander down the windy lanes taking you through Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Yorkshire Dales. Explore moors and valleys, its patchwork of fields enclosed by dry stone walls, small stone-built villages and the imposing reservoirs at Angram, Scar and Gouthwaite.
