Arcadian Strings is a string orchestra of 18 players conducted by promising young conductor William Dutton. William is an accomplished musician who was BBC Young Chorister of the Year in 2006 and, as a violinist, won the Strings Final of BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2014. The programme includes Corelli's Christmas Concerto, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, the very Christmassy Waldteufel's Skaters' Waltz and Elgar's Serenade for Strings. The programme lasts about an hour and coffee and mince pies are served in the Church Hall (which is attached to the church) from 10 a.m. Entry is free but donations at the end of the concert would be very welcome.
