An afternoon ‘in conversation’ with Jo Woolf and Mark Newman
Join our volunteer tour guide on a short 45 minute guided walk of Brimham Rocks.
After seeing the landscape and getting a taste of Brimham Rocks, join the conversation and listen to guest speakers Jo Woolf, author of Britain’s Landmarks and Legends, and Mark Newman, National Trust archaeologist and author of The Wonder of the North, discuss the fascinating stories embedded in these special landscapes. Hear the secrets and stories of iconic British landmarks, including Brimham Rocks, and discover a deeper appreciation for these ancient and fascinating landscapes. Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to browse Brimham's second-hand bookshop and buy a signed copy of the book at the end of the event.
The guided walk is optional and will begin at 2pm. Refreshments will be served in the exhibition space from 2:45pm and the 'in conversation' event will begin at 3pm.
It's a 5-10 minute walk to the indoor exhibition space so please dress appropriately for the weather. Seating will be provided. If you're joining the guided tour, please wear sturdy footwear.
The guided walk is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs or mobility scooters. There is no level access to the exhibition space where the talk is taking place. Please get in touch on 01423 780688 if you have any accessibility requirements.
Ticket price is £5. Normal car parking charges apply. National Trust members park for free when you scan your membership card.
