Knaresborough Castle & Museum
A stronghold of medieval kings, Knaresborough Castle is beautifully set, overlooking the River Nidd.
Explore Knaresborough Castle independently and get a fascinating insight into medieval castle life and Knaresborough’s royal residents.
The castle grounds are open to the public throughout the year and offer incredible views over the River Nidd and railway viaduct. During the spring and summer months live musical performances take place in the castle grounds on Sunday afternoons from 2pm, see the full Summer Band Concerts Timetable.
Visit the Courtroom Museum to discover an original Tudor courtroom and learn more about Knaresborough’s colourful history.
