GoGreen Yorkshire

Yorkshire’s only consumer exhibition to help inform the public on the small but meaningful changes they can make to their daily lives which will collectively make a big impact on the climate change emergency. Taking place in May the aim is that every visitor leaves the exhibition pledging to make one or two changes which will collectively make a great impact.

Ripon Theatre Festival

Five days of drama, street theatre, children’s shows, circus, comedy, dance, puppetry, storytelling and much more in the gorgeous city of Ripon. There will be performances and fun events for all ages with a blockbuster jamboree. Local groups will also be able to join in the fun over the festival weekend taking part in city-centre pop-up performances or entertaining families in Ripon Spa Gardens.

Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival

For one July weekend the world’s hottest crime writers swing into town for a gathering of writing professionals and enthusiasts, authors and readers. At this friendly festival you can enjoy a busy programme of special guests, panel discussions and entertainment, celebrating crime fiction and the crime writing industry. Nidderdale Show

Planning ahead to September, Nidderdale Show is a traditional Dales agricultural show. You can expect sheepdog trials and livestock classes, cookery demonstrations and a dog show along with a funfair, delicious food and drink, local produce and crafts – this is a day out where there is something for everyone to enjoy.
