At Harrogate’s iconic Majestic Hotel, Carter’s Champagne and Grill offers a superb set menu of two or three courses for Sunday Lunch, which includes a selection of roasted meats, fish and vegetarian options, in a stunning restaurant setting that is tastefully decorated with an Edwardian style and unmistakable Majestic elegance.

Originally from Yorkshire, renowned chef Shaun Rankin has a Michelin-starred restaurant at Grantley Hall located just outside Ripon, which showcases locally grown and sourced ingredients; uses only the best raw ingredients from hand-picked suppliers, together with quality meat from nearby farms, speciality cheeses from across the county and fresh seafood from the Yorkshire coast.

For a really special fine dining experience, Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall offers a Sunday Tasting Menu, with a truly mouth-watering selection of exceptional dishes, including a few nods to a traditional Sunday Lunch with a creative and nostalgic twist!

Just six miles south of Ripon, the Inn South Stainley is nestled in the pretty Yorkshire countryside and provides country pub dining with classic and contemporary interiors, relaxed seating and open fires. Situated along the main Harrogate to Ripon bus route with a stop just outside, it’s easily accessible from both locations, perfect if you’re exploring without a vehicle.

Sunday Lunch at the Inn offers you the choice of a traditional roast with all the trimmings, with the option to select a variety of different meats (if you find it hard to decide which to go for, or you’re feeling extra hungry). You can also choose dishes from the main lunchtime menu, if you prefer, and there’s a children’s menu, in case younger diners need a smaller portion.
