Favourite Christmas Tree Festival Returns

Knaresborough Christmas Tree Festival returns to its traditional home of St John the Baptist Church this year after a socially distanced version of the event was held around the town last year.

Over 50 dazzlingly trees will be on show within the church where the atmosphere of the architecture and stained glass windows add to the magic of the event.

2021a

Admission to the festival is free, but there will be the opportunity to buy refreshments and raffle tickets and most importantly visitors are able to vote for their favourite tree whether it has baubles, lights or knitted characters on.

2021d

The trees will be available to view from Saturday 4th until Thursday 23rd December.

The theme for decorating this year is “I saw three ships” and entrants are free to interpret this or decorate their trees as they wish.

2021b

The creativity on display has to be seen to be believed as trees are often created from materials as unlikely as copper pipes, toilet rolls and train tickets. Prizes are given for artistic endeavour and beauty.
