A stronghold of medieval kings, Knaresborough Castle is beautifully set, overlooking the River Nidd.

Explore Knaresborough Castle independently and get a fascinating insight into medieval castle life and Knaresborough’s royal residents.

The castle grounds are open to the public throughout the year and offer incredible views over the River Nidd and railway viaduct. Live musical performances occasionally take place in the castle grounds on Sundays.

Visit the Courtroom Museum to discover an original Tudor courtroom and learn more about Knaresborough’s colourful history.

Newly renovated Castle Critters activity room, is where a fun-filled family experience awaits, with exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. Activities Include:

Castle crafting workshops
Play kitchen for little ones
Foam building blocks
Cozy reading corner
LEGO building fun!

Season tickets valid for both the Royal Pump Room Museum and Knaresborough Castle are available for adults, children and families. Prices range between £10-£40 and allow you to visit as many times as you like for one year.
