Dogs are allowed in the Castle Grounds, but not in the Castle Keep, Castle Courtyard Museum or Sally Port Tours.

There is a paid 70 space car park outside of the Castle Grounds, with a maximum stay of 4 hours.

The castle grounds are accessible for wheelchairs and prams but there is limited access to the historic buildings. The main entrance is accessible and pathways run around the yard.
